Funny Bitch Friday: Snark Squad

in Funny Bitch Friday

I look back on my childhood with a mixture of fondness and PTSD, but the PTSD starts to go away when I think about the things I loved from my childhood: books and television. Namely, Goosebumps, Nancy Drew, Babysitter’s Club, Are You Afraid Of The Dark and the like.

If you’re anything like me (hopefully without the PTSD) then you’re going to fucking love Snark Squad BECAUSE THEY YELL AT THE THINGS THAT I LOVE, and they do it fucking funny. It’s at the same time nostalgic and heartbreaking and very very funny because the things I loved as a child were pretty dumb. Enjoy the snark and memories abound.

Nancy Drew Files #006 “White Water Terror” – Someone’s Trying to Kill You, FYI.

BSC #018 “Stacey’s Mistake” – Poor people are gross, but at least they’re useful for contrivance!

SVH #013 “Kidnapped” – It’s not as bad as you think.

Goosebumps #002 “Stay Out of the Basement!” – That’s Where I keep My Stash

Fifty Shades of Grey

Are You Afraid of the Dark S01 E04 “The Tale of the Twisted Claw” – I wish for an all jean ensemble.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer S02 E11 – Angel John Ritter

Are You Afraid of the Dark S01 E03 The Lonely Ghost – Reading is fundamental!

Go lament your childhood in the best way possible. Keep bringing the funny!

Ok, Noa. I think it’s time. You need to rename the contest to “Just pick one of Jen’s submissions to win, y’all. The rest of youse ain’t got a shot anyway.” I think it has a nice concise ring to it, no?

And thank you for Carlton. Brilliant.

Can’t. Stop. Dancing. For my next act, I shall perform the Truffle Shuffle and Molly Ringwald’s signature alternating arm-swing-front-kick move made famous in so many John Hughes film.

I am a master at the Molly Ringwald dance. I’m sensing a future dance off, yes? :p

I could just remember back in high school when I’ve been reading Nancy Drew. I really like reading books up until now. Thanks for sharing some links that could really make you nostalgic.
